This word in the original Greek is written in the Aorist
tense, Passive voice, Indicative mood (5681)…
Aorist tense= the concept of the verb is considered w/o regard for past,
present, or future time.
Passive voice= the passive voice represents the subject as being the
recipient of the action. E.g., in the
sentence, "The boy was hit by the ball," the boy receives the action.
Indicative mood= The indicative mood is a simple statement of fact. If an action really occurs or has occurred or
will occur, it will be rendered in the indicative mood.
1Corinthians 09.16-18
“16 For if I preach the gospel, I have nothing to boast of, for I am under
compulsion; for woe is me if I do not preach the gospel. 17 For if I do this
voluntarily, I have a reward; but if against my will, I have a stewardship

then is my reward? That, when I preach the gospel, I may offer the gospel w/o

NWT acknowledges that God cannot lie (Titus 01.02)

As is
common in the Pastorals, Paul referred to God as Savior (6x…1Timothy 01.01; 1Timothy 02.03; 1Timothy 04.10; Titus 01.03; Titus 02.10; Titus 02.13; Titus 03.04).

What
we see w/this is God’s eternal plan to rescue a people for Himself formed the
main focus of Paul’s ministry, rather than any of this worldly agenda that we
see so prevalent today to liberate social issues.
God being our Saviour is not
just a Pauline teaching, but found throughout the Old Testament as well (11x)…
2Samuel 22.03 “3 My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, My shield &
