1Chronicles 03.09 "All these were the sons of David, besides the sons of the concubines; and Tamar was their sister."
Bath-shua (1Chronicles 03.05 in NASB) is the Hebrew spelling of Bathsheba (2Samuel 11.03).
The chronicler begins the line of David (1Chronicles 02) and focuses specifically on the descendants of David in 1Chronicles 03.
The chronicler lists all the sons of David, even though through Solomon was the crown passed down (1Chronicles 22.09-10), as well as the Messianic line (2Samuel 07.08-17; Matthew 01.01-17; Luke 03.23-38).
This is important because it shows us that Jesus was Yeshua Ben-David, that He was Jesus the son of David, HaMashiach (the Messiah).
Referring to Jesus as the "Son of David" was a Messianic term. Jesus was called the "Son of David" many times throughout the New Testament, thus signifying that the people were calling Him the Messiah, the Christ, the anointed One.
He could not be the Messiah if He was not the Son of David!
